Bringing Home Baby

This is our first newsletter as a family of three! On August 11th after a long labor, we got to meet our daughter, Ruthie Ray Gray. We are so in love with her smiles and coos and the immeasurable joy she brings. Her little life has been so full of love! We spent the first month of her life in Wyoming with family and then returned to Honduras on September 14th. Before our car was even in park our kids at the Children’s Home had the door open to hold her. She has been held and cuddled and loved on every second the kids aren’t at school. Our community of friends here has been so sweet. We are so blessed by the people God has put in our lives! We are so excited for our little girl to grow up here and call Honduras her first home.

This year our eleven kids at the Home are in 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th grade at El Camino Bilingual School. Our 12th-grade boys are studying for university entrance exams that they will take on December 8th. We appreciate your prayers as they study and sit for this exam!

Chase continues as the director of the Home while also helping out at school some. After her maternity leave is over, Reagan will return to school part-time to help with some classes and tutor students in need. She continues to serve as the Volunteer Coordinator for short-term visitors coming to the hospital or school as well as helping with social media for the ministry.

Praises:

  • We were able to get Ruthie’s passport through a same-day passport appointment! This allowed us to bring her home to Honduras so quickly.

  • God provided an amazing assistant to help here at the Home while we were in the States. We are so grateful to Mirian for stepping into this role!

Prayer Requests:

  • For continued wisdom in raising and discipling the 11 kids here at our Home.

  • We are still working to raise funds to help make our home more financially sustainable. Please pray that God would raise up donors to help us. If you would like to share with your church or small group, we are happy to give you an information page about our Home to share how God is at work here.

  • Our two oldest boys are taking their university entrance exams on December 8th in hopes of gaining a spot in the nursing school. Please pray with us as they prepare!
